Optimism (noun): hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something.
This is my mood & mindset. Whenever I catch myself starting to feel overwhelmed or stressed, I turn to positivity and optimism. I simply take a step back and tell myself that most of the things that overwhelm me or stress me out are self-imposed. I do these things to myself. Because I have this self-awareness, I’m able to catch myself from falling into negativity and destructive tendencies.
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on my energy and perception on where my life is heading. Honestly, I’m the most successful I’ve ever been in my life. Great things are happening: my Instagram and blog are doing well, I’m grateful to have a good job, and my friends and family are a top-notch support system. I just need to keep reminding myself that I have so much to be grateful for.
There will be times when I feel that nothing is going right, but there will be days when amazing things happen and I flourish. I just have to constantly remind myself that things are going well for me and I am able to overcome whatever challenges or bad days come my way. If I stay strong and happy, everything else will follow.
My best friend and I call this the “boss babe” mindset.
Many of my friends tell me that I do too much. I never take time for myself. I overwork myself. And it’s true.
I haven’t had a real day off in so long. My weekends are comprised of brunches, socials, and photo shoots. But how come I haven’t burned out yet?
It’s optimism and positive energy. This is my fuel. This is my muse. This is my motivation.
