I have an obsession with off-shoulder tops even during fall & winter. I just love the silhouette and the detailing on most off-shoulder tops. If you haven’t noticed already, I have quite broad shoulders and the only tops I can really pull off are camisoles, sleeveless tops, and off-shoulder. So, yes, I’m a bit partial to this silhouette, but I’m so happy to have discovered this online store called SHEIN, which is where this top is from. Jeans are from Calvin Klein. Of course, had to wear this with no makeup but red lipstick.
Of all the years that I’ve lived in Las Vegas, I’ve never once really gone up to the mountains. I didn’t know that Mt. Charleston could be so pretty!
Luke’s family invited us to a Polish picnic in Lee Canyon the other week, and the whole family decided to go, of course, except for my mother because she’s not a happy camper. It was quite fun driving all the way there and seeing such cute dogs when we made it to the campground.
Full day of shopping, spending time together at the picnic, and inviting the family over to swim. I definitely need more bonding days like this.
I love doing How I Style videos. It actually helps me distinguish my personal style and evolve the way I look at styling my outfits more than anything. Here’s another short How I Style video on how I wear another classic wardrobe staple: the khaki utility shirt.
Japanese Curry Rice is an absolute necessity in my life. I love all kinds of curry, but Japanese curry rice is the one that never fails to hit the spot because of the warm and comforting flavors of this dish. It holds a special place in my heart, and Luke’s in love with it, too. This version of Japanese curry is made with chicken breast because I wanted to show that not all Japanese curry is fattening and loaded with calories. You can substitute the meats with leaner cuts of chicken, beef, or pork, and it will all work out. Trust me. (Note: I’ll be making a Japanese Curry Rice recipe made from scratch in the future, so stay tuned for that!)
Watch the video to see how I make this delicious and easy weeknight meal.
Welcome to my new series of “How I Style” videos! I figured I would do something other than my usual “What I Wore” series, usually integrated into my vlogs, and I wanted to give you guys some aesthetic inspiration from my short and sweet “How I Style” videos. Of course, the first thing I styled for you guys is the classic white shirt, a classic and timeless yet chic wardrobe essential. I chose an oversized boyfriend shirt from UNIQLO because I prefer a boyfriend fit when it comes to button-down shirts. It helps you get that effortless half-tuck or full-tuck look.
Well, there’s no excuse for this. I’m VERY late in posting this on the blog. Posted this vlog and What I Wore video on the channel about a week ago, but completely spaced out on posting it here! *Danielle, how could you?!* *slaps myself in the face*
Anyway, enjoy this short vlog and very bloated What I Wore video. Photos below.
I always have fun eating at Hofbrauhaus because it’s got such a different atmosphere than most restaurants on and off the Strip. So glad that Luke’s aunt and uncle visiting from Poland enjoyed themselves, and so did his dad who came along to watch the game. They’re big soccer fans and have been following the EuroCup games ever since Poland’s first game so they were really into it. Thank goodness for my quick thinking in getting reservations in the biergarten because the place was PACKED. Unfortunately, their pick for the win, Germany, lost. At least we were able to fill our bellies with beer and brats (which is really all that mattered at the end of the day).
Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Yes, I know, I’m a week late on this but it’s a busy life preparing for a move, you know!
July 1st: We had a TON of errands to do, and we also had to meet up with my family and Luke’s family as well since his aunt and uncle from Poland were staying with his mom. (Stay tuned for the next vlog because we actually took Luke’s aunt and uncle out to watch EuroCup 2016 at Hofbrauhaus.) Of course, the Vegas heat was unbearable that day but I powered through with this gorgeous and breezy Zara crop top with beautiful patch detailing on the back. Love it!
Thanks to Zara, I realized that I’m actually in love with patches. I’ll definitely be getting more clothes with cute and unique patches on them. I know Zara’s current collection is filled with patches but Australian boutique Princess Polly also has them. I love Princess Polly’s western vibes a la ’70s aesthetic.
Hello everyone! It’s been a while, and that’s because the stress of moving has been getting to me! But I’m back and determined to post more often! Here’s what I wore for my 22nd birthday! If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you’ll know that my family usually celebrates our birthdays at Lake Las Vegas, since our birthdays almost all land in the same week in June. But this year, I said no to tradition because it’s too damn hot to go up to Lake Las Vegas just to hang around. In any case, you can watch the video below to see how I did my makeup and watch my date with the boo.
Hi, I’m Danielle Perea, a 20-year-old Filipina living in Las Vegas. I was born in Seattle, WA, but grew up in the Philippines. I’m a singer and blogger who loves fashion, beauty, and cooking. I grew up in Manila, Philippines where I studied at a private Catholic school until it was time for me to come back to the US. That’s how I wound up in Vegas where I now live with my one true love, Luke and our fat hunter cat Bandit. If you end up seeing Luke in one of my videos and ask about his accent, that’s because he’s full-blown Polish and grew up in a small village in Poland. I’m sure you’ll see a bit of him on my blog.
My main passion in life is music. I love to sing, dance, and play my cello. I’m a dreamer who will work hard to make all my hopes and goals become reality. I hope you guys stick around to watch my journey to make my dreams come true.
I try to keep a healthy balance among fashion, beauty, music, cooking, and lifestyle & wellness, as well as some personal “get to know me” posts on this blog. I’ll have way more content on my Youtube channel, which I hope you will check out (the link is on the home page). If you want to learn more about me, then stick around, subscribe, and connect with me.
